Winter Salt Week 2025

January has arrived, and with it: SNOW! Snow and ice mean salt is applied on the roads, and salt enters waterways. This year, DCCCS is excited to participate with Stroud Water Research Center in Winter Salt Week from January 27-31.

On Friday, January 31, Stroud is conducting a salt blitz across the region and we hope to have DCCCS volunteers join the effort. This is during the sample window: if you are able to head out and safely collect your sample on Friday, your data will be added to the region-wide effort!

We will be sharing the results of the salt blitz: check back in February to see what we learn!
